Vietnam Tour is incomplete without visiting its native villages

January 24th, 2010

The tourists never just stagger upon the Sapa, Vietnam. They visit to experience the astonishing scenery and have a view of mountain communities in area, and this is something without which the Vietnam tour never completes.

Many tourists take the night train from Hanoi and then approach Sapa in early morning. Many of departure times of the night trains are there – attempt picking earliest. Look for the phony porters that will attempt in assisting you with the baggage and then seek $2 each bag for assisting you. To have a taste of ease in the whole Tour of Vietnam, don’t just make yourself get tired by just simply picking your baggage and get it till the train, just have a ticket in your hand unless you approached the designated cab. A conductor will approach you for taking that ticket. Save it with you, it is required to be shown when you reach Sapa.

This whole trip will take your 1.5 or 2 hours. Hotels – you can reserve that, consult the travel guide for commendations or if you haven’t committed any such reservation with any hotel, then after reaching Sapa, just have a break and take your breakfast. By the time you will get any way out either by getting information or other tourist who can guide where he simply is staying etc.

People normally bypass the Sapa and head towards the mountain villages. You must check with native tour agencies and check i you need to arrange home stay kind tour for one or two nights. It is not commended as Sapa has got much more to propose at its own.

Before getting agreed to the guide or tour services assure checking the forecast of weather and the conditions of roads in are you need to visit as the landslides and harsh rain storms all thru the roads are common around the Sapa. If you are travelling on the Dien Bien Phu, assure the roads are according to the standards.

Manage to get to any native village to experience what is the life of mountain tribes. That is way too different from the life of an ethnic Vietnamese. Trek through a terraced rice field and surrounding mountains. Must have the plan of stop for the lunch or get it with you.

You will be having many opportunities of meeting the members of mountain tribes because they use to work on fields simply or in villages.

The home stays are much famous and provide more exposure to mountain manner of life. They have got unique style of living. Evenings are passed while watching conventional ethnic music performances and the village life. It approaches to its extreme when all get drunk.  The day starts with preparations of breakfast, feeding the animals, working in family garden or housekeeping. This way of life will sure be admired by the tourists on Vietnam Tour.

Check amenities while arranging home stay. Assure the accommodations to sleep. Many home stays provide beds having pillows, clens sheets, mosquito nets and the western kind toilets.

Some of the home stays provide chances to perform any serious trekking from a village to the other. Few treks could ba comparatively remote. People are good but assure respecting native customs of people there and ask the permission before taking a photograph.

Before leaving Sapa, must visit local market, garden around the Sapa Lake and Cathedral. If you dedicate your Vietnam Tour to Sapa, then such attractions are on the walking distance. But here only not the Vietnam Tour of your ends, but this is the place from where it commences.

Vietnam Holidays, a Different Perspective

January 10th, 2010

Certainly as we all approach the holiday season yearly, we each have our conceptions of what the holidays should entail as well as memories of past holiday seasons. Yet, the world is a constantly changing place and there are always new traditions to create as well as different habitual practices to form. Exploring a different country can be a challenging and rewarding endeavor. My suggestion would be to explore Vietnam holidays.

To most of the western world, the phrase “Vietnam” conjures up a sense of war and hostilities. However, this is a beautiful country that has worked very hard to shed this image and has opened up more to the rest of the world. Many people elect to take trips over the holidays and usually they involve the traditional “vacation hot spots” but I would challenge someone to invest time in exploring Vietnam holidays. This country offers a wealth of sites for any visitor to see–lush rice paddies, beautiful mountains, pristine beaches, and a culture that is both unique and enticing. Whether one is electing to explore the neighboring Cambodian Khmer civilization or planning a bicycling or kayaking trip in the Vietnam countryside, there are many places that can be explored and learned. There is a whole other perspective that is involved in learning and appreciating another culture, let alone during a holiday season. One can certainly learn new traditions, beliefs, and practices yet mesh these with past experiences. Experiencing Vietnam holidays could certainly work toward accomplishing this type of learning. » Read more: Vietnam Holidays, a Different Perspective
