The petrol price is high, the road dustry and hot weather outside, I decided to trust on computer to plan our summer escape to Halong Bay. Traditionally we often come to a travel agency for consultation and check price, we take a chance to book my vacation online and what an outstanding decision that was.
One of our greatest discoveries on this trip began while researching it on the Internet. We came across 4 words that perfectly described what we wanted: Luxury Cruise Halong Bay. The website of this travel company is, owned and operated by Vietnamese local tour company based in Hanoi, offering various upscale cruises in Halong Bay. What we look for is the luxurious, adventurous, unique, wonderful and new experience.
From Luxury Travel company website I could book a luxury cruise trip to Halong Bay, the world heritage site that lies 175km East of Hanoi. With a click of the mouse it was done. I couldn’t help waiting to get out of the city for the weekend even I have been in Halong Bay for more than one time.
Stepping out of the private car in Ha Long city, I was met by staffs from the Indochina Sails Junk at the private jetty. We then have ridden a small speed boat to join the junk, I remember my last trip to Halong Bay I had to wait at the dock in the back of tourists and a jungle of boats. My warm memory is not to see the biggest junk boat I have been on with 15 rooms made by aromatic wooden, the cruise itinerary is different with other boats but I was impressed by the personal service, you are welcomed with cocktail, cared to details and enjoyed great food and innovative service and a sense of luxury on the floating 5 hotel rather than a junk.
My deluxe room on upper floor was impressive, with everything you’d expected in a five – star hotel. I enjoyed the marble bathroom, I took a blissful shower before going up on deck for a drink and enjoyed the sunset over the bay. I laid down and let my mind fly, enjoying the sky in the beautiful and clear afternoon, the sound of the waves lapping on the boat’s hull as we cruised leisurely through a maze of small, rocky islands jutting from its calm and emerald water. The sunset is on the horizon.
The boat offers kayaking, boating, fishing activities my travel colleagues, an I enjoyed ourselves the nature and the sincerity over a cup of wine when sun set. Other guests enjoyed swimming on the Soysim Beach.
The boat manager said to me that the dinner tonight is a BBQ. Only when I arrived up on the deck for the BBQ dinner did I realize that the costume was rather baggy and my hat fairly cumbersome, still I managed to move around and filled my plate. We both looked like VIPs and Presidents of APEC summit and we had a lot of fun and talked about this costume during dinner under stars and the blissful nature around.
The dinner fits emperors and lovely people. Sitting next to me, a British couple, is also the guests of Luxury Travel Vietnam Company, after a few cups of wine, they shared with me their 10 days experiences in Vietnam and how they enjoyed the last night of their honeymoon holiday in Vietnam before getting home and will praise for this company. “The service we received from Luxury Travel is world class service” Bernadette Tompar said.
I know that this couple has a wonderful night that night and the honeymoon experience should be the warmest memories and buzz words to tell others when they get home in London.
