Review by Matthew Krems for Frommer’s Vietnam (Frommer’s Complete)
Rating:
While this guide is good at listing or providing facts about various sites, its recommendations are often catered to the outlandishly flamboyant traveler (who spends more than $100 a night for a hotel in Vietnam, and who spends more than $10 for a meal????). Its restaurant choices and attraction ratings I found to be ridiculous. After a few days, I knew the places Frommer’s recommended were more than likely the places to avoid. Perhaps this book is just for a very different traveler than myself, but I was very disappointed with this one. I was quite please with Frommer’s Japan, Egypt, and Hong Kong btw.
